Understanding of the Behavior of Quail

The body of quail is relatively small, short, plump rounded and have short legs. But the quail have privileges, i.e. flight quite nimble, especially in the Bush which is a natural habitat. Sometimes quail living in solitude, in pairs, or in groups small (a little).


The quail that farmed now is a small-sized birds that have been unable to fly high. If quail still can fly may be very limited and cannot fly far. In nature, the quail's nest made in the bushes, shrubs, or above the ground. The nest is made of grass, leaves, and twigs of trees that are nearby.

The Quail are adult age 36-40 days and start laying 40-42 days. Female quail pair more than one male. Within a year, the quail's parent is capable of producing 3-4 offspring. Production peaks happen 3-5 months. Egg production begins to decrease or less productive age of 15-18 months. The type of quail that has the ability to spawn high enough, i.e. Coturnix Japonica. Ability to produce eggs reach 250-300 items per year.
